Museum of Fine Arts Houston Family Day 2008

The Museum of Fine Arts Houston has family Sundays with activities and events geared towards families and children that are sponsored by Target. On May 4, 2008, the MFAH Family Day theme was Community. Origami Houston arranged to have four tables at the event so people could learn origami. I provided handouts for simple models and origami resources. Paper was supplied by the museum and OH. Turnout at the origami tables was good and I went through a lot of paper teaching several models. In addition to Nick Robinson's "Super Quick Origami Animals," I also used "Origami, Plain and Simple" by Robert Neale as a resource.

OH volunteers were Dave Hay, Alex Barber, Nancy Brokaw, Sam & Susan Petty, Chris & Pai Nkinthorn, Anthony & Rene Sanchez, Liang Wu and Sue Ann Chu.
